In 1994, a group of passionate citizens came together with a vision, to create an easy to access street festival inside the city that had something for all ages to enjoy.
Over the next 25 years, the festival grew, and became an important local tradition! At the same time, however, it was met with a lot of challenges, one of the most prominent being that the festival itself never had a permanent place to call home.
In 2022, after some time away due to COVID, we decided to re-focus on what our mission truly is: To bring talented artists and performers together from our area and focus more on music and arts, and to ensure that our Festival has a home. Due to funding and volunteer constraints, for the 2023 Festival, we had to condense the event to just one day.
Now located in Pinafore Park, this is how the new Railway City Music and Arts Festival came to be! We invite everyone to come out to the multi-day festival and discover all of the amazing, talented individuals from St. Thomas and its surrounding areas - you won’t be disappointed!
