Based out of London, Ontario, The Joel Dupuis Band (awarded London blues band of the year 2024) is an electrifying three piece band that gives an energetic performance, and a straight shot of pure, no filler, rocking blues in the form of soulful originals as well as an original take on old favourites.

At just 21 years of age, Joel Dupuis has played all over the Southern Ontario music scene as well as Festivals in Thorold, Toronto, Kincardine, and London to name a few. He has shared the stage with the likes of Scott Holt (current frontman of Foghat), The Cashbox Kings (top 10 blues album of the year 2017), JW-Jones (JUNO Nominee) and Pat Harrington (Victor Wainwright and The Train, Grammy nominee).

As well, he has also toured with Ghost Town Blues Band out of Memphis Tennessee (#1 Billboard Blues Album 2019, B.B. King International entertainer of the year award 2020).

THE DIRTY RIFFS

Bassist BRENDAN SOMERVILLE found his calling in music from a young age, starting with piano. His music journey has since lead him to bass and guitar. Sound influences include Radiohead, Them Crooked Vultures, and Queen, setting the groundwork for his solid bass lines and creative flexibility.

Vocalist and Guitarist STEVLAND WILSON has been in and around the music scene as long as Yoda has been speaking his Wisdom to the Hobbits. Influences are many including The Beatles, Stones, BB King, Rhythm & Blues and Traditional Folk. Steve is also a recording artist  and songwriter and places creativity first and foremost in his music and performing.

Guitarist CARY JUAN has played with bands varying in styles from Blues, to Rock, Funk and Alternative. His session work and recordings for solo acts such as Ben Segev, and collaborations with DJ Wolfe were well received. He has enjoyed performing across the GTA at venues such as the legendary Horseshoe and charity events at Rogers Centre. After moving to Waterloo Region a few years ago, he has been enjoying the rich musical community.

STEVE WILSON

As a solo artist Stevland has been writing and singing his songs since 1970

His self penned songs cover a wide variety of genres which includes Folk Country Blues Jazz and Rock.  Twisting cover songs is something Stevland enjoys doing as well. Nothing like surprising your audience to keep them on their toes!

He also enjoys talking to the audience and letting them in on how some songs came to be or share little quips of interest about the piece itself.  Stevland sees music as "therapy for the soul"

SATURDAY 12:30 PM

RYAN NAISMITH BAND

Ryan Naismith is a singer-songwriter from London, Ontario. His songs weave together stories of Life,
Loss, and Redemption with a straightforward delivery that connects with his audience. Accompanied by
his band, their Alt-Folk, Americana sound has been building a strong fan base one show at a time
throughout Ontario.

In the vein of his musical influences such as Townes VanZandt, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Steve Earle, Blue
Rodeo, and Chris Knight, Ryan strives to write songs that resonate like an intimate conversation. Songs
that are honest, and reach below the surface of the everyday.

2023 held the highlight of playing a showcase at Diamonds in the Rough stage, during the CCMA’s in
Hamilton. 2024 has Ryan nominated for a Forest City London Music Award in the Singer-Songwriter
category and he is planning to record his first EP in 2024.
